Traveling by many means of transport was extremely difficult, on the morning of November 28, VNA reporters reached a seriously eroded road section in Phu Dong village (Phu Mo commune). Here, hundreds of cubic meters of earth and rock from the mountain poured onto the road surface with a length of more than 2km. Water in the ravine still flowed onto the road in some groups. The road's slope had many large cracks and subsidence sections.
Mr. So Minh The (a resident of Phu Dong village) said that due to the impact of storm No. 13 and the recent heavy rains, the road leading to the village was seriously eroded and impassable. Local authorities and functional agencies have made efforts to clear some sections for small trucks and cars to move. Many remaining sections have a layer of soil and rocks nearly 1 meter thick spilling onto the road, so they can only travel by motorbike. His family has 2 hectares of acacia trees that have fallen down but cannot be transported for sale because trucks cannot enter the village.
Mr. La O Thanh (Phu Dong village) shared that the storm and flood caused landslides and blocked the only road leading to the village, making life difficult for him and other households in the village. Production was also temporarily suspended because trucks could not enter the village. People had to use motorbikes to travel out of the village to the commune center to receive relief goods from the local government and benefactors. Many elderly people who could not move had to ask young people to receive them to maintain their lives.

In Phu Hai village (Phu Mo commune), people also faced many difficulties in daily life and production when the only road leading to the village was blocked due to the recent storm and flood. Two bridges were damaged and impassable. Many sections of the road had serious landslides and cracks, which were extremely dangerous. After the flood, units urgently repaired some sections so that people could travel by motorbike.
Mr. So Minh Ly (head of Phu Hai village) said that the storm caused landslides in many areas of the village; especially the only road leading to the village was flooded with rocks and soil from the mountain, causing traffic disruption. Currently, only a part of it has been cleared so that people can travel by motorbike and other rudimentary means. The storm also damaged many hectares of acacia trees of the people but they cannot be sold because trucks cannot move into the village.
Phu Hai village also mobilized people to overcome the landslide incident to ensure safe travel. People helped each other, sharing gifts from the local government and benefactors. By the morning of November 28, many charity groups were still coming to the village to help people, so everyone was excited and trying to overcome the difficulties.

Phu Hai village currently has more than 70 households, Phu Dong village currently has more than 180 households (mainly Ba Na people). People mainly do farming and forestry, so life is still difficult. The road leading to the two villages is still just a dirt road that has not been paved or concreted. People in the deep mountains have little access to information technology and engineering technology to develop production.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Tinh, Chairman of Phu Mo Commune People's Committee, said that after the road leading to Phu Hai and Phu Dong villages was seriously eroded, the locality mobilized human resources and means to make efforts to overcome the situation. Wherever the road was cleared, relief goods were transported to help people overcome temporary difficulties. The locality also mobilized people, local authorities and construction units to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
