Bac Ninh is one of the new names appearing in the Vietnamese football competition system. The newly established team, with Coach Park Hang Seo as an advisor, will participate in the 2024 National Second Division and face the Hanoi Youth Team, PVF, Kon Tum , Dak Lak, SHB Da Nang Youth, Tay Nguyen Gia Lai in Group A.
The remaining group has 7 teams: Vinh Long, Lam Dong, Van Hien University, Dinh Huong Phu Nhuan, Tre TP.HCM, An Giang, Tien Giang .
The teams will play two home and away matches. The first and second teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals. The two teams that win the two semi-finals will be promoted to the 2024/2025 National First Division. The National Second Division will kick off on March 8 and the promotion match will take place on June 17, 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau shared: “ The 2024 National Second Division Football Tournament continues to show stability with 14 teams registered to participate. This is a meaningful playground in maintaining grassroots football across the country. VFF believes that with the 2-round round-robin format, the tournament will continue to attract the attention and support of the audience, the quality will be improved day by day, thereby contributing to the overall development of Vietnamese football ”.
In this season, teams are allowed to add or replace up to 5 players until March 20. If players or coaches are called up to the national teams, the team will be supplemented with the corresponding number of players required to perform duties as required by the VFF.
Bac Ninh Club is a name that attracts attention with its large investment. They have many former national and U23 Vietnam players such as Nguyen Quang Tinh, Dao Duy Khanh, Au Van Hoan, Nguyen Hong Son, etc. Former head coach of the Vietnam national team Park Hang Seo has also just signed a contract to be a senior advisor for this newly established team.
The representative of the Kinh Bac team said that their goal is to win the right to play in the National First Division 2024/2025. However, being in the same group with teams like Kon Tum, Hanoi Youth or Da Nang Youth will not be an easy challenge for coach Ngo Quang Truong and his team.
