The Tax Department's football team won the Women's Football Championship of Quang Nam Provincial Agencies

(QNO) - After 7 days of competition, the 7th Quang Nam Provincial Agencies' 5-a-side Women's Mini Football Tournament 2023 - Larue Beer Cup competition organized by the Provincial Agencies' Delegation closed yesterday afternoon, May 18.

The tournament had more than 300 athletes from 23 teams from 31 grassroots organizations under the Quang Nam Provincial Agencies' Union. The teams were divided into 7 groups, competing in a round-robin format to select the 2 teams with the best results from each group to advance to the next round.

At the closing ceremony, the audience witnessed an exciting championship match between the two teams of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Quang Nam Tax Department. With suitable tactics, the Quang Nam Tax Department team held the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to a draw in the two official matches and entered the penalty shootout to determine the winner.

As a result, the team of the Quang Nam Tax Department won with a score of 3-2, thereby winning the championship cup; the team of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism won the silver medal; the team of the Quang Nam Medical College and the Department of Health won the bronze medal.

The organizers also awarded additional prizes to the best player, best goalkeeper, most dedicated player and most Fair Play team.

Mr. Dang Ngoc Chau - Secretary of the Provincial Agencies' Youth Union said that the 7th Provincial Agencies' 5-a-side Women's Mini Football Tournament in 2023 had the largest number of participating teams and athletes in the history of the organization. With the serious preparation, training and competition of the teams, the tournament was a great success.
