Change the schedule of the match between Laos and Vietnam

The match schedule is updated by AFC.

According to the latest announcement from AFC, the match between Laos and Vietnam in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers will be postponed to 7 p.m. on November 19, one day later than the original match schedule (November 18). According to many sources, Laos was the one who proactively proposed the change of schedule, citing reasons related to the organization and travel of the host team. This proposal has been considered and approved by AFC, and officially notified to VFF.

To prepare for the match, the Vietnamese team is still maintaining the preparation process in Phu Tho . Coach Kim Sang-sik's team gathered from November 10, and will have enough players after round 11 of V.League 2025/26 ends.

This time, the Vietnamese team welcomed the return of striker Xuan Son, who had been absent for more than 10 months due to a ligament injury. On the other hand, goalkeeper Dang Van Lam was injured in the first training session.

Meanwhile, the Laos team has also begun to gather to prepare for the final match in the qualifying round. The reason he gave was that Laos no longer has a chance to continue, so he wants to create conditions for the young team to accumulate experience, aiming for the 33rd SEA Games, taking place from December 9 to 20 in Thailand.
