XINHUA. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Russia from September 18-21 to attend the 18th round of the China-Russia Strategic Security Consultation (SSCC).
KOREA TIMES. South Korea and the United States are close to completing revisions to their joint deterrence strategy document, as the two allies hold regular defense talks in Seoul.
YONHAP. The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to build a dome baseball stadium combined with a hotel in the southeastern district of Jamsil by 2031.
KYODO. Yoko Kamikawa will hold talks with her US counterpart Antony Blinken in New York on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly during her first overseas trip as Japanese Foreign Minister.
Europe
BLOOMBERG. Russia's 2023 wheat harvest is set to hit a record high for the second year in a row, cementing its position on global markets as the number one exporter.
TASS. The representative of the Ukrainian government in the Parliament , Mr. Taras Melnichuk, announced that the government of this country has dismissed 6 deputy defense ministers , only First Deputy Minister Alexander Pavliuk retains his position.
UKRINFORM. Ukraine is planning to sue Poland, Hungary and Slovakia over the ban on Ukrainian agricultural products, according to Agriculture Minister Mykola Solsky.
TVP WORLD. Romania will consider extending the ban on the sale of Ukrainian grain if import demand increases, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said.
AFP. European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen presented a 10-point action plan to address the migrant emergency and share the burden with Italy.

REUTERS. The Italian government has decided to increase the detention period for migrants awaiting repatriation from the current 135 days to 18 months, and has approved the construction of additional detention centers in remote areas.
BFM TV. France will set up a new temporary reception center for migrants and refugees at the border with Italy in Ventimiglia.
HIR TV. The speaker of the Hungarian parliament from the ruling Fidesz party said it was "unlikely" that Hungary would ratify Sweden's membership in NATO.
DW. Germany is launching an autumn vaccination campaign to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, using a single dose of an upgraded Covid-19 booster vaccine for the elderly and those at high risk of the disease.
America
CNBC. The first discussion session of the High-Level Week of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly will take place today, September 19, with the participation of more than 150 heads of state and government.
AFP. The US confirmed the prisoner exchange with Iran and announced that President Joe Biden had pardoned five Iranians who were incarcerated or awaiting trial for non-violent crimes.
RPP. At least 20 people were killed and 20 others injured in a bus accident in Anco, Peru, the cause of which is under investigation.

CNN. The flood-ravaged Libyan city of Derna is at risk of a disease outbreak that could spark a second catastrophic crisis, UN agencies have warned.
AFRICA NEWS. The African Union (AU) has activated its emergency management mechanism and deployed a multidisciplinary team of experts to assist Libya.
AP. Torrential rains in northwestern Democratic Republic of Congo caused a landslide overnight that killed at least 17 people, and rescue efforts are underway.

THE AUSTRALIAN. At least three people were hospitalized with injuries after a knife attack on September 18 at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, with the suspect arrested as former student Alex Ophel.
