The remote commune of Cu Pong is facing the flood center.

Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province, during the recent prolonged floods, agencies, units, businesses and people in Cu Pong commune donated nearly 90 million VND in cash and more than 60 tons of necessities to support people in flooded areas.

From mobilized resources, Cu Pong commune organized 6 convoys of vehicles carrying necessities to support people in localities in the province that were heavily affected such as: Hoa Thinh, Phu Hoa 2, Tuy An Dong, Son Hoa, Xuan Phuoc, Krong Ana...

Immediately after receiving the dispatch and appeal from the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cu Pong commune urgently issued a document mobilizing all people to support; at the same time, arranged reception points in 24 villages and hamlets in the area to call on people to contribute necessities and support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Although it is a remote commune, life is still difficult and the proportion of ethnic minorities accounts for more than 55%, the spirit of solidarity and sharing of the people of Cu Pong commune is still strongly promoted. Many households, despite limited conditions, still actively contribute necessities, participate in transporting and packaging goods to promptly support people in flood-affected areas.

Currently, Cu Pong commune continues to receive goods and necessities to promptly deliver to people in flooded areas. The entire amount of cash raised is transferred by the commune to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; the necessities are delivered directly to the people by the commune in coordination with the Fatherland Front Committees of the affected communes, ensuring the right allocation to the right needs and the right subjects, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

Previously, during the days of complicated floods, the authorities and organizations of Cu Pong commune proactively grasped the damage situation in localities in the province, and at the same time carried out propaganda activities, mobilizing people to join hands to support people in flooded areas, promoting the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the community.
