On the evening of May 31, the Vietnamese futsal team with 16 players under the leadership of head coach Giustozzi Diego Raul took a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to train in South America, with two destinations being Paraguay and Argentina.

Before leaving for South America for training, the Vietnamese futsal team has been training since May 8 at Thai Son Nam Stadium, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. In this training session, the team has the return of goalkeeper Nguyen Hoang Anh (Sahako) and 2 new players participating for the first time, goalkeeper Nguyen Huu Phuc (Sanvinest Khanh Hoa ) and Ala Tran Nhat Trung (Sahako). In addition, 3 young players are also in the sights of coach Giustozzi Diego Raul, including goalkeeper Luu Thanh Bao (Sahako), fixo Dinh Cong Vien (Sahako) and pivo Nguyen Van Tuan (Thai Son Bac).
However, after two friendly matches with the Solomon Islands futsal team on May 25 and 26, 3 of the above players could not stay with the team when coach Giustozzi Diego Raul reviewed and evaluated the positions to select 16 players for the training trip to South America. They are goalkeeper Luu Thanh Bao, Nguyen Huu Phuc and Tran Nhat Trung.
In the upcoming South American training trip, the first destination of the Vietnamese futsal team will be Paraguay. During the training period here, the team will play 3 friendly matches with the Paraguayan futsal team (June 4, 6 and 8) before moving to the second training destination, Argentina.
In Argentina, coach Giustozzi Diego Raul and his team will have three more high-quality friendly matches with the host country's futsal team, on June 10, 12 and 14 respectively.
