Vietnam team suffered losses before match against Syria

According to the latest information, midfielder Hoang Duc will likely not be registered by coach Troussier to play in the match against Syria.

Previously, in a friendly match with Hong Kong (China), the star of the Vietnamese team received a tackle with both feet from his opponent.

After that decisive tackle, Hoang Duc could not stand up by himself and he was carried off the field on a stretcher.

According to doctors' examination, the owner of the 2021 Vietnam Golden Ball has suffered a soft tissue injury.

This is not a very serious injury but it will take some time to heal and get him back to normal.

Besides Hoang Duc, another midfielder of the Vietnamese team is also injured, Lam Ti Phong.

Currently, this player is having to practice separately with the team's doctors and the possibility of playing in the match against Syria is not high.

The only good news for coach Troussier up to this point is that Truong Tien Anh has no health problems and is ready to compete.

On the afternoon of June 19, the Vietnamese team had its first official training session at Thien Truong Stadium before the match with the West Asian team.

In this training session, coach Troussier let the players relax and practice at a lighter intensity than the previous stage.

The drills still revolve around ball control, ball handling, one-touch passing and close-quarters coordination.

Before the training session, the French coach also had a conversation with his players to fix the poor handling of situations in the match with Hong Kong.

According to schedule, the match between Vietnam and Syria will take place at 7:30 p.m. on June 20 at Thien Truong Stadium, Nam Dinh .
