In a report summarizing the activities of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee and the patriotic emulation movement among Vietnamese Catholics during the 2020-2025 period, Father Nguyen Van Rien, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee, stated that during the 2020-2025 period, the patriotic emulation movement among Catholics in provinces and cities achieved many positive results, affirming the role, position, and important contributions of the Catholic community to the cause of building and developing the homeland. The movement was widely implemented, creating many innovative and effective models.

In particular, the emulation movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and live a good and virtuous life," linked to the eight contents launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee, has achieved practical results with profound political, economic, cultural, and social significance.

During the period 2025-2030, the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee and the provinces and cities will continue to coordinate in disseminating information, gathering, and mobilizing Catholic compatriots to uphold the tradition of loving their homeland and country, uniting and accompanying the nation, enhancing civic responsibility, developing their abilities and intelligence, and actively participating in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Emphasizing that the patriotic emulation movement, spearheaded by the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee, has strongly spread the spirit of reverence for God, love for the country, and commitment to the community, Comrade Do Van Chien affirmed that the efforts of Catholic compatriots in three main areas: economic development, building cultural life, and social welfare and charitable activities, have made significant contributions to the overall development of the country. These actions are vivid evidence of the aspiration to "live a good life and uphold moral values" and "live the Gospel in the heart of the nation," and at the same time, are a solid foundation for building a country that is "prosperous, strong, democratic, just, civilized, and happy."

Entering a new phase, Comrade Do Van Chien suggested that the Catholic Solidarity Committee and all Catholic compatriots should deeply internalize the Pope's teaching: "Vietnamese Catholics are good citizens. Vietnamese Catholics must be patriotic, walking alongside the nation to build prosperity and happiness."

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also requested the Catholic Solidarity Committee and all Catholic compatriots to continue spreading the spirit of patriotic emulation widely; to unite and work together with the entire Party, people, and army to enter a new era; to innovate thinking, create breakthroughs, and successfully implement the major policies of the Party and the laws and regulations of the State.

Comrade Do Van Chien suggested that the Catholic Solidarity Committees at all levels should promptly implement the specific directions and solutions outlined at the Congress. In particular, they should closely monitor the grassroots level, strengthen cooperation with state agencies and social organizations to effectively implement emulation movements, especially the movement "all people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and live a good and virtuous life."

Comrade Do Van Chien also suggested that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee and the delegates attending the Congress should together remember and spread the affirmation of General Secretary To Lam in his speech commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd: "Under the glorious banner of the Party, with the light of Ho Chi Minh guiding the way, relying on the strength of the people and the great national unity, there is no difficulty or challenge that our people cannot overcome, and no noble goal that our nation cannot strive for."

“I hope that the valuable experiences and practical lessons learned from today’s emulation congress will be a solid foundation for the patriotic emulation movement among Catholic compatriots to continue to develop even more strongly, more widely, and more deeply, blossoming into thousands of ‘good people, good deeds’ in the colorful garden of the Vietnamese nation,” Comrade Do Van Chien emphasized.
