Immediately after receiving information about a serious traffic accident in Yen Chau district, 6 people died on the spot. Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, along with leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, and leaders of Yen Chau district promptly arrived at the scene, encouraged the victims' families, and directed the overcoming of the consequences of the accident.
Accordingly, at around 23:20 on February 21, at km 235 + 100, National Highway 6, in Thin village, Sap Vat commune, Yen Chau district, a passenger car with license plate 26F-009.08 was moving from Son La to Hanoi , when it suddenly collided with a tractor trailer with license plate 36C - 095.93 traveling in the opposite direction. As a result, 6 people died on the spot. Immediately after the incident, the authorities were present at the scene to provide first aid to the injured, regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.
To promptly overcome the consequences, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet directed functional forces and medical staff at all levels in the province to actively coordinate and quickly deploy tasks, support emergency aid and treatment for the victims. Assign the Traffic Police force to regulate and direct traffic to avoid congestion and traffic safety; at the same time, protect the scene and investigate the cause of the accident. After visiting and encouraging, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and the District Traffic Safety Committee provided initial support to help the families and victims promptly overcome the consequences of the accident.
Doctor Le Thai Ha, Director of Yen Chau District General Hospital, added that the unit received 8 victims injured in the accident. After receiving first aid, 6 victims were transferred to the provincial hospital and Viet Duc Hospital for timely treatment. The remaining 2 victims are currently being treated at the district hospital./.
