Comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh holds the position of Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee

The People's Council of Lao Cai province has carried out the procedure to dismiss comrade Tran Huy Tuan from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, because he was assigned by the Central Committee to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, then elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee.

Delegates voted to elect comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The election of this position was carried out according to the personnel work process, ensuring compliance with Party regulations and State laws.

As a result, comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh was elected by the Provincial People's Council delegates to hold the position of Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term with an absolute number of votes.

Comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh, born in 1975; hometown: Nhan Chinh Ward (old Thanh Xuan district), Hanoi city.

Professional qualification: PhD in Economics, major in Banking and Finance.

Political theory level: Advanced.

Before being assigned to Lao Cai province, he had 19 years of experience working at the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development system, holding the position of Deputy General Director of Agribank. During the 2015-2021 period, he worked at the State Bank of Vietnam. Since 2021, he has held the position of Deputy Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Delegation of the 15th National Assembly.

On November 29, 2024, he was mobilized and appointed by the Central Committee to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee; on December 9, 2024, he was elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

In July 2025, he was transferred and assigned to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Delegates passed the session resolution.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and voted to approve many reports and resolutions of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee; including the Resolution regulating the loan amount, loan term, and loan interest rate from the local budget capital entrusted through the Provincial Social Policy Bank; debt settlement mechanism for risky debts outside the scope of subjects and objective reasons considered for risk settlement according to the Prime Minister's regulations on the mechanism for handling risky debts at the Social Policy Bank.

Also at the meeting, delegates discussed and voted to approve the Resolution on adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period and 2025, State budget capital sources; Resolution on principles, scope, support levels and use of support funds for rice land protection activities in the province in 2025...
