At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Duy Chinh briefly informed about the province's socio-economic development in recent times. These days, Bac Kan province is also organizing activities to celebrate its 125th anniversary.

Despite many difficulties, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Kan province have united and well performed the tasks of economic development, caring for policy beneficiaries, improving people's lives, especially the issue of eliminating dilapidated houses for poor households, which the province is focusing all resources on to make efforts to implement... The Provincial Party Secretary also reported to the Vice President on the actual situation of Bac Kan province before the merger. Bac Kan province is making efforts to carry out the tasks assigned by the Party and State on streamlining and reorganizing the apparatus, preparing the conditions to carry out the assigned tasks, especially the province always does a good job of political and ideological education for cadres, party members and the masses in the process of streamlining the apparatus.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged the efforts and achievements in Party building and socio-economic development of Bac Kan province in recent times. She shared the difficulties of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces. She hoped that when they merged, the two sides would support each other for mutual development. Thai Nguyen, with its own strengths, would support Bac Kan so that the province could develop in accordance with the wishes of the Central Committee as well as the wishes of General Secretary To Lam, which is to expand the development space and support each other, especially the long-standing affection between the two provinces. When merged, Thai Nguyen would certainly share and support Bac Kan to develop rapidly to keep up with the general development of the country.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged the efforts in socio-economic development of Bac Kan province.

He hoped that from the vivid and specific reality in the implementation process, the two provinces would give comments to the Central Government's general project on unreasonable contents, in order to bring the project as close to reality as possible, contributing to the project's practical effectiveness when implemented./.
