According to initial information, at noon of the same day, people in Tan An City ( Long An Province) discovered that the Long An yacht anchored on the Vam Co Tay River (near Tan An Bridge, Ward 1, Tan An City) suddenly caught fire and emitted smoke, so they reported it to the local authorities and used a mini fire extinguisher to put out the fire but still could not control the fire.
Immediately afterwards, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Long An Provincial Police mobilized many officers and soldiers along with specialized vehicles to put out the fire.
The fire was then controlled in time, causing no damage to people or property.

Long An Cruise is owned by Vietnam Event Organization Travel Joint Stock Company, Long An branch.
At the end of November 2024, this yacht was brought back to anchor on the Vam Co Tay River at Tan An wharf area.
At this time, because the yacht had not been inspected, the interdisciplinary inspection team in Long An requested the investor to bring the yacht for inspection.
After being inspected, the yacht was towed here before the Lunar New Year and has not been in operation yet.
The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by Long An province authorities.
