
According to the dispatch, the Ministry of Construction directed the Vietnam Road Administration to urgently inspect and review locations at risk of flooding, landslides, and flash floods to have a solution and organize traffic diversion from afar. At locations at risk of deep flooding and fast-flowing water, especially at culverts, ferry terminals, pontoon bridges, and ferries, it is required to arrange forces to guard, guide traffic, and warn of dangers in a timely manner.
In case of landslides and subsidence causing traffic jams, road management units must coordinate with local authorities to quickly handle the situation, mobilizing maximum human resources and equipment to clear the road as soon as possible.
Regarding railways, the Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation require units to patrol and guard at key locations such as weak bridges, steep mountain passes, areas prone to flooding and flash floods; and at the same time develop plans to stop trains, stretch trains, increase trains, and transfer passengers when necessary.
The Vietnam Maritime and Waterways Administration directed port authorities to request inland waterway vehicles to move away from the river overpass area to a safe location, and absolutely not let vehicles drifted by floods crash into river overpass structures.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires airlines to closely monitor weather developments, proactively adjust flight schedules and operating airports accordingly, and ensure absolute flight safety.

* According to information from the Vietnam Road Administration, as of October 28, in Hue City and Quang Tri, many roads were affected by landslides, causing traffic jams. On National Highway 1, through Hue City, there were 6 locations with flooded roads. The West branch of Ho Chi Minh Road had 4 flooded spots, and the water has now receded. In particular, the La Son - Tuy Loan section was blocked by landslides at 2 locations.
Road management units and local authorities are urgently coordinating to handle, add barriers, warning signs, guide traffic flow, clear rocks and soil, and clear sewers to ensure traffic safety.
