The landslide area is large in scale, stretching for kilometers from the first point to the last point, with an average width of 50m to 100m. The volume of rock and soil is estimated at thousands of cubic meters, when the landslide occurred, it buried some of the people's property and crops. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any human casualties.

Currently, the authorities have put up ropes and warning signs, not allowing people to approach the landslide area due to the risk of further collapse. Five isolated villages include Ngoc Nang, Ngoc Lang, Xa Ua, Tu Rang and Mo Po, with about 300 households and nearly 700 people.

Mr. A Phuong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ngoc Linh Commune, said that the roads to the five villages mentioned above are currently cut off, and the locality is concerned that people may lack food in the coming days. The commune leaders are considering a plan to use reserve funds to buy food, and at the same time, mobilize healthy forces to carry goods across the landslide area to deliver them to isolated households.
