Initially, local authorities and functional agencies recorded 7 landslides on Gia Bac Pass. Of which, there were 2 large-scale landslides at Km 51 and Km 50+200 on National Highway 28. At these locations, both the positive and negative slopes collapsed, a large amount of rock and soil poured down and buried the road surface, causing traffic disruption on National Highway 28.

Currently, the authorities have organized forces and means to overcome the consequences of the landslide. However, due to the large amount of soil spilled onto the road, causing slippery conditions, the authorities advise people to limit traffic through Gia Bac Pass to ensure safety. It is expected that by the afternoon of the same day, the authorities will have completed handling the landslide scene on Gia Bac Pass.

Gia Bac Pass is more than 10km long on National Highway 28 (connecting Son Dien commune with Ham Thuan Bac commune) connecting from National Highway 20 to National Highway 1A in Lam Dong province.
