The Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control worked with An Giang Provincial Police.

On October 27, a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Major General Ha Xuan Duy, Deputy Director of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control (Ministry of Public Security) worked at the An Giang Provincial Police Department to inspect the results of implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security on strengthening the prevention and control of crimes and violations of the law in the activities of exploration, exploitation, transportation, storage and consumption of minerals for construction materials and filling materials.

Overview of the conference.

Since the beginning of 2024, An Giang Provincial Police have proactively advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue and deploy many plans to prevent, combat, and handle violations of the law in mineral activities.

During the investigation and handling, 137 cases and 272 subjects were caught red-handed violating regulations on illegal mining and transportation of minerals in the province. Of which, 3 cases and 3 subjects were prosecuted; over 200 propaganda sessions were organized to over 5,000 people related to mineral activities in the area...

Major General Ha Xuan Duy, Deputy Director of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control, Ministry of Public Security , delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

Major General Ha Xuan Duy, Deputy Director of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control, Ministry of Public Security, acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of the An Giang Provincial Police force in recent times.

At the same time, the Provincial Police Department is requested to continue to step up the work of preventing, combating, and stopping violations of the law in the exploration, exploitation, transportation, storage, and consumption of minerals as construction materials and filling materials in the area. Strengthen coordination with functional forces to promptly combat and handle organizations and individuals who violate the law in mineral activities. In particular, ensure security for projects being deployed to serve the APEC 2027 Conference in the Phu Quoc special economic zone.
