Dong Nai criticizes district chairman for approving delegation to go to Ha Giang to learn digital transformation

Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, has just signed an urgent document to send to departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts and cities in the province about not organizing delegations to visit and learn from experiences outside the province.

The document clearly states that recently, Dong Nai province has focused on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model and organizing a two-level local government.

At the same time, focus on directing all cadres to make efforts to synchronously deploy key and urgent tasks to implement the plan to merge provincial-level administrative units, not organize district-level units, and merge commune-level units in the province.

However, recently, the information that the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Cuu district planned to organize for officials to go to Ha Giang to study digital transformation has created negative public opinion, affecting the propaganda work to implement the policy of rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels in the area.

Therefore, the Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee severely criticized the Chairman of Vinh Cuu District People's Committee for approving the policy for the District Department of Education and Training to organize a delegation to learn from the experience of implementing digital transformation in education and applying STEM education in preschool and general education programs in Ha Giang City, Ha Giang Province.

The Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairman of the Vinh Cuu District People's Committee to seriously draw lessons from this matter and report to the Provincial People's Committee before May 25. The head of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee also requested directors, heads of departments, branches, and sectors and Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities to organize a common lesson drawing.

From now until the completion of the arrangement and reorganization of the apparatus and administrative units at all levels, no delegations will be organized to visit and learn from experiences outside the province. In case it is necessary to organize delegations to learn from work experiences, they must report and propose to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Cuu district (Dong Nai) planned for leaders, experts, and teachers to go to Ha Giang to learn about digital transformation experience.

Participants in the study tour are leaders, specialists in charge of education levels and related departments of the department; principals and vice principals of preschools, kindergartens and secondary schools across the district. The duration of the trip is 5 days, from June 3 to 7 (including travel and return time).

The trip helped members learn from each other's experiences on effective models and practices in digital transformation and organizing STEM educational activities for preschool and secondary school students.

Regarding the cost of study abroad, the Department of Education said that the agency or unit sending people to study abroad will pay the cost according to current financial regulations from the budget of Vinh Cuu District People's Committee.

Also according to the plan, there will be a study session where the delegation will visit two schools in Ha Giang City. The remaining time of the schedule, the delegation will go to Dong Van stone plateau, visit Lung Cu flagpole, Ban Gioc waterfall and then continue traveling to Cao Bang province...
