More than 3,600 Quang Tri teachers are considered for promotion in professional titles

On May 22, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province Hoang Nam said that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving 3,655 targets for considering promotion of professional titles of public preschool and primary school teachers in 2025.

This is an important step to concretize the policy of developing the teaching staff in the direction of standardization and professionalism, while meeting the requirements of currenteducational innovation.

According to the decision, there are more than 1,070 preschool teacher quotas. Of which, Huong Hoa district has the highest number of quotas with 224 quotas (45 first-class quotas, 179 second-class quotas); Dakrong district has 198 quotas (26 first-class quotas, 172 second-class quotas); Gio Linh district has 164 quotas; Vinh Linh district has 110 quotas; Trieu Phong district has 100 quotas...

Other levels of education include 722 primary school quotas, 202 secondary school quotas, and 737 high school quotas. The rest are management officials at all levels.

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province authorized the Director of the Department of Education and Training to preside over the organization of the promotion of teachers' professional titles. The promotion process will be organized in 2 phases, and completed before June 25, 2025.

"This promotion review is expected to create conditions for teachers to have their capacity and experience recognized, thereby improving their remuneration and career development," said the Acting Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee.

Previously, Tien Phong Newspaper reported that Quang Tri province was slow in organizing the promotion review for teachers.

The Quang Tri Department of Education and Training said the delay in organizing the promotion review stemmed from many reasons. First of all, the regulations on the structure of professional titles in public service units are unclear, causing confusion for localities in implementation.

Second, the circular guiding the organization of promotion consideration has not been issued in time according to the new Decree of the Government , causing a lack of legal basis for implementation.

In addition, the work of consulting on project development and promotion plans in some agencies and units is still lacking in initiative and determination.
