Which field leads the nomination profile for the VinFuture 2025 million-dollar prize?

The VinFuture Prize 2025 nominations continue to span across many essential areas of life and global sustainable development. Of these, the field of medicine and healthcare received the most applications (36.7%). Next were energy, transport and construction (17.8%); environment and earth (17.8%); agriculture and food (11.3%).

These are all key fields, reflecting the development trend of science and technology of mankind and are attracting great attention from the international community.

A notable point of the nomination round is that the number of participants submitting nomination documents (called nominating partners) this year has increased dramatically: 14,722 (an increase of more than 12 times compared to the first season, an increase of more than 60% compared to last year). Nominating partners are scientists from the Americas accounting for 31%, Europe 28.6%, Asia 26.8%...

Notably, nearly 50% (7,240) of this year's nominees are experts from the world's leading universities and research institutes. Among them, there are many scientists who are world-leading experts in their fields.

14,722 partners nominated 1,705 applications, so there are applications that receive many nominations for the same application. After the nomination round is closed, the jury will choose the application with the most complete completion, or the application nominated by the most prestigious scientist to move on to the next round of evaluation.

The selection of candidates for the VinFuture Prize 2025 will take place from late May to late August. The prize will be awarded at the end of the year.

After 4 seasons, the VinFuture Prize has affirmed its stature and prestige in the international arena, when many awardees were consecutively honored by prestigious global awards. Among them, 5 scientists after receiving the VinFuture Prize received the Nobel Prize.
