Dong Thap won 1 First Prize and 1 Third Prize at the 20th National Youth and Children's Creativity Competition in 2024

DTO - Recently, in Hanoi , the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 20th National Youth and Children's Creativity Competition, 2024 (referred to as the Competition) took place.

The contest is jointly organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Ministry of Education and Training . The contest aims to awaken the potential and promote creative thinking of youth, teenagers, and children nationwide. At the same time, it helps them to improve their knowledge, practice creative skills, and build dreams to become future inventors.

The organizers awarded First Prize to Luu Phuc Nguyen and Ha Nguyen Anh Linh.

This year’s competition attracted the largest number of entries ever, with 907 entries from 58 provinces and cities across the country. In addition, the quality of products has been significantly improved, in the following areas: school supplies; computer software; environmentally friendly products; household appliances and children’s toys; technical solutions to respond to climate change, protect the environment and develop the economy .

Accordingly, the Organizing Committee of the National Competition decided to award 106 prizes including: 1 Special Prize, 5 First Prizes, 10 Second Prizes, 30 Third Prizes, 60 Encouragement Prizes. Of which, Dong Thap won 1 First Prize and 1 Third Prize.

Specifically, the product "Fresh lotus seed hulling machine" by two students Luu Phuc Nguyen and Ha Nguyen Anh Linh, students of Vinh Thoi Secondary School, Lai Vung District (now students of Lai Vung 2 High School, Lai Vung District and Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School for the Gifted, Sa Dec City) excellently won the first prize; the product "Patient transfer bed" by two students Tran Tung Hung and Nguyen Le Yen Linh, students of Nguyen Van Tiep Secondary School (Tan Hong District) won the third prize.

Along with that, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Dong Thap province was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Organizing Committee of the Contest for its efforts in promoting and organizing the Contest; Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan - Vice President of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Dong Thap province was awarded a Certificate of Merit for his outstanding achievements in promoting the Contest to districts and cities in the province.
