Drainage and wastewater treatment project in Trang Bom town is granted environmental license

(DN) - The Department of Agriculture and Environment has just issued Document No. 533/GPMT-SNNMT (dated June 14, 2025), granting permission to the Dong Nai Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board to carry out environmental protection activities of the Trang Bom Town Drainage and Wastewater Treatment System Project (Trang Bom District), priority phase.

The above project is implemented in Trang Bom town, belongs to group B type, classified according to public investment criteria.

The total area of ​​the project is about 2.2 hectares, of which the wastewater treatment plant area is 1.2 hectares and the remaining land is for pipeline construction.

Items within the scope of environmental licensing include: Priority phase wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 2,000 ^m3 /day; construction of domestic wastewater collection system in the central area of ​​Trang Bom town (basin of about 160 hectares) along routes nearly 20km long.

The content of environmental licensing and accompanying environmental protection requirements include: permission to discharge wastewater into the environment; permission to discharge exhaust gas into the environment; ensuring the limit values ​​for noise and vibration according to the provisions of law and the granted environmental license. In addition, it must also meet the requirements for waste management, prevention and response to environmental incidents, and a number of other requirements for environmental protection.

Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board is only allowed to carry out licensing contents after completing the corresponding environmental protection works. Regularly operate, follow the waste treatment process and ensure that the waste after treatment meets environmental technical standards. Have measures to minimize noise and vibration.

Be responsible before the law when pollutants, noise, and vibration do not meet the permitted requirements and must immediately stop discharging exhaust gas, generating noise and vibration to take remedial measures according to regulations.

Environmental license valid until June 14, 2035.
