Specifically, today's pepper price in Gia Lai province fluctuated little, remaining unchanged compared to yesterday's sharp increase. Currently, the local pepper purchase price is at 155,500 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau are stable, currently pepper is purchased at 156,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Binh Phuoc remained stable compared to the previous strong session. Currently, the pepper purchasing price in this locality is at 156,000 VND/kg.
Dak Nong and Dak Lak pepper prices are high and stable compared to yesterday's trading session. Currently, the pepper purchase price in these two localities is at 157,000 VND/kg.

According to experts, the recent sharp increase in pepper prices is mainly due to the impact of reduced supply after harvest, along with farmers' psychology of hoarding goods waiting for prices to increase. Meanwhile, the world market remains stable and anchored at a high level, continuing to create positive momentum for domestic pepper prices.
In addition, many experts believe that in the coming time, if demand from large markets such as the Middle East and Europe increases sharply in the second quarter, pepper prices may continue to climb. Localities with good pepper quality such as Dak Lak and Dak Nong are expected to benefit greatly in this context.

According to the latest data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first half of April alone, Vietnam exported 10,413 tons of pepper, bringing in a turnover of 72 million USD.
Exported pepper products are very diverse, including: whole black pepper, ground black pepper, whole white pepper, ground white pepper and pickled pepper - each type serves a separate processing need in the international market.
The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said the global pepper market is facing challenges due to a decline in production in major producing countries such as Indonesia and India. The main causes are climate change, disease and high input costs.
Despite the downward adjustment in pepper prices, demand is still increasing. Vietnam, as the leading pepper supplier, is in a great position to meet this demand.

According to forecast, world pepper prices will fluctuate down tomorrow; however, there will still be increasing and stable fluctuations in countries.
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) on the afternoon of April 25, 2025 as follows: the pepper market tends to decrease. In particular, pepper prices in Indonesia continued to decrease slightly compared to yesterday's trading session; pepper prices in Malaysia turned to decrease sharply after many days of sideways movement, the decrease was from 200 - 300 USD/ton; pepper prices in other countries were stable.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,102 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 9,612 USD/ton.
The Malaysian pepper market has turned down sharply after many previous stable and sideways sessions. Currently, the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,300 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,900 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil remained unchanged compared to yesterday's increase, currently at $6,900/ton.
Vietnam's pepper market continues to move sideways and stabilize compared to the previous high session. Currently, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 6,800 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,900 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 9,800 USD/ton.
