Accordingly, the function of the Science, Technology and Innovation Council of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (hereinafter referred to as the Council) is an advisory organization with the function of assisting the Minister, the Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (hereinafter referred to as the Steering Committee) in orienting, directing the development and implementation of policies, strategies, mechanisms and policies to promote the development of science, technology and innovation in the industry and trade sector.
In addition, the Council is responsible for advising the Minister and the Steering Committee on: Determining strategic priorities, mechanisms, and major policies in the development of science , technology, and innovation of the Industry and Trade sector, in accordance with the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, the direction and assignment of the Government and the Prime Minister in the development of sectors and fields under the management of the Ministry; in accordance with the orientation of national science, technology, and innovation development in each period.
Advise the Minister and the Steering Committee to decide on medium and long-term strategies, plans, programs and projects on science, technology and innovation development of the Industry and Trade sector.
Recommend and propose key solutions and measures to solve key issues in implementing policies, strategies, mechanisms and policies to promote the development of science, technology and innovation of the Industry and Trade sector.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing. The Chief of the Ministry Office, the Chief Inspector of the Ministry, the Directors of Departments, Bureaus, Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry and relevant units, organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision.
