Petrolimex dismisses General Director Dao Nam Hai

(Dan Tri) - Petrolimex's Board of Directors has decided to dismiss Mr. Dao Nam Hai from the position of General Director and suspend his membership in the Board of Directors from May 30.

The Board of Directors of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ) has just issued a resolution to dismiss the position of General Director of the Group and suspend the membership of the Board of Directors of Mr. Dao Nam Hai, effective from May 30.

This decision was made more than 3 weeks after the Ministry of Finance decided to temporarily suspend Mr. Dao Nam Hai from his position as representative of State capital at this corporation.

Previously, after temporarily suspending the rights and obligations of Mr. Dao Nam Hai, the Ministry of Finance assigned Chairman of the Board of Directors Pham Van Thanh - the legal representative - to temporarily manage from May 8. The State capital portion at Petrolimex held by Mr. Hai was also transferred to Mr. Thanh.

Mr. Dao Nam Hai was born in 1974, has a master's degree in economic law, a bachelor's degree in business administration from the National Economics University and a master's degree in business administration from the Hanoi National University.

Before becoming General Director of Petrolimex from March 2022, Mr. Hai had nearly 5 years as Deputy General Director (from October 2017 to March 2022), and was also a member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Petrolimex Insurance Joint Stock Corporation (PJICO) for 8 years (April 2014 - March 2022).

Mr. Hai also held many key positions at Petrolimex's member units such as Member of the Board of Directors of Petrolimex Construction Group Joint Stock Company 1, Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation.

After being appointed as General Director of Petrolimex, Mr. Dao Nam Hai continued to be assigned the important responsibility of concurrently holding the position of Member of the Group's Board of Directors.

Petrolimex's Board of Directors currently consists of 8 members, including 8 Deputy General Directors: Mr. Tran Ngoc Nam, Mr. Luu Van Tuyen, Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung, Mr. Nguyen Van Su, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Mr. Nguyen Sy Cuong, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duong.
