This weather phenomenon began on July 24 and is expected to last for the next 24-48 hours with moderate to heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain accompanied by strong thunderstorms.

Meteorological experts warn of the high possibility of extreme weather events such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds in most areas with thunderstorms. In particular, the northern mountainous region and the Central Highlands need to be on guard against the risk of flash floods and landslides due to prolonged heavy rain.

Hanoi capital is forecast to be cloudy with moderate to heavy rain, temperatures ranging from 25-32°C.
The Northwestern region recorded lower temperatures, commonly 22-31°C, with some places below 21°C at night.
Northeastern provinces such as Cao Bang and Lang Son will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Hue is divided into two distinct weather zones: the North (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An) has widespread heavy rain, while the South ( Ha Tinh to Hue) has only scattered showers. The temperature here remains at 24-33°C.
The South Central and Central Highlands regions continue to maintain hot weather during the day and thunderstorms in the evening with common temperatures of 26-34°C.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms concentrated in the evening, especially in the Eastern provinces, with the highest temperature in some places exceeding 34°C.
