At exactly 10:05, the drum beat signaled the end of the 120-minute literature exam for the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi. Candidates submitted their papers, moved to the area to get their personal belongings, and left (Photo: Thanh Dong).

At this time, in front of the gate of Chu Van An High School for the Gifted (Tay Ho District) and Phan Dinh Phung High School (Ba Dinh District), although the sun was scorching hot, that did not reduce the eagerness of the parents waiting (Photo: Thanh Dong, Hai Long).

Ms. Linh Chi (in Dong Da district) stood waiting for her child outside the gate of Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, her eyes unable to hide her anxiety and worry. Before that, her daughter had taken the entrance exam to the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities.
She shared that not only she but most parents have the same feelings, and she worries about her children's health after the hard studying process, many late nights, afraid that it will affect their psychology during the exam.

When leaving the exam room, Thuy Trinh - Chi's daughter - burst into tears even though she said she had done her homework and tried her best to live up to her parents' expectations, she was afraid of making mistakes.
Chi was moved: "Which school is my child's dream, so my family always encourages and supports him wholeheartedly. If he doesn't pass this school, he can go to another school. No matter what the result is, his parents and teachers will always be by his side" (Photo: Thanh Dong).

Candidates left the exam site to the warm welcome, cheers and congratulations of many parents (Photo: Hai Long).

Contestant The Vu's mother gave her son a loving, encouraging kiss after the exam.
The Vu shared: "I found the essay questions to be at a basic level, and I could get over 7 points. The change in the exam questions did not cause us any difficulty because the teachers had prepared us very carefully" (Photo: Thanh Dong).

Mr. Tran Duc Kien (Ba Dinh district) came to pick up contestant Hoang Bao Dan instead of her parents. He said that partly because her mother was busy, and partly because he himself wanted to pick up his granddaughter after the exam.
Mr. Kien shared: “The feeling of waiting for my grandchild to finish the exam reminded me of the days when I took my children to the exam. I was very excited, mixed with anxiety. Seeing my grandchild come out with a happy face, I felt more secure (Photo: Thanh Dong).

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Diep (Ba Dinh district) gave her daughter a warm hug with gentle words of encouragement.
Ms. Diep shared: “The family does not put pressure on the score, just wants our daughter to feel most comfortable during the exam. I am also worried, but still have great faith in her ability” (Photo: Hai Long).

After finishing the first exam, the candidates left the room with mixed emotions. Many candidates were radiant and excited because they had done well on the test, while some breathed a sigh of relief after overcoming the pressure of the first exam (Photo: Thanh Dong, Do Ngoc Luu).
