On January 3, Mr. Huynh Quang Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City ( Kien Giang ), said that the city has just announced a hotline number to support tourists during their time traveling to this island.

Accordingly, if you encounter price gouging or other difficulties, please call the hotline 19001720. Phu Quoc City authorities will provide maximum and timely support.

Currently, there are about 15,000 - 18,000 tourists checking in at the Kissing Bridge area every day.

Around mid-2023, the number of tourists to Phu Quoc dropped sharply due to high airfares and some news sites said that there was a situation of overcharging, making tourists afraid to come to Phu Quoc. At that time, Phu Quoc announced hotline numbers from the city to the commune level for tourists to report. However, these hotlines were all numbers of commune leaders or leaders of specialized departments, so sometimes the hotlines did not operate effectively.

Along with the hotline number 19001720, Phu Quoc City authorities will increase checks on service prices, food safety and hygiene... so that tourists can feel completely secure during their time traveling on the island.

According to Mr. Huynh Quang Hung, the number of tourists coming to Phu Quoc in the near future is expected to increase sharply because of the many newly launched tourism products. In particular, in the Cau Hon area alone (invested by Sun Group in An Thoi Ward), there are about 15,000 - 18,000 tourists checking in every day.
