Quang Nam A 24-year-old Korean tourist died after swimming at An Bang beach, Cam An ward, Hoi An city.
Park Hyun Jin came to Hoi An for a vacation and went swimming with a friend at An Bang beach, Cam An ward, at around 5:30 p.m. on October 22. More than 45 minutes later, his friend came ashore and discovered that Park Hyun Jin had drowned and was missing.

At that time, the sea was at level 5-7, making it difficult to rescue the victims. Cua Dai Border Guard Station sent more than 12 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local forces and people to search along the coast. At 2:30 p.m. on October 23, the search team discovered the victim's body near the accident site.
An Bang Beach, about ̀km from the center of Hoi An ancient town, is one of the 50 most relaxing places in the world , ranked 17th by users of the Spa Seekers page on October 11. In 2021, An Bang also ranked 24th in the list of 25 most beautiful beaches in Asia voted by Tripadvisors.
