The 2025 autumn foliage forecast for Korea shows that the first leaves will appear and the peak will be later than usual.
The reason is that the temperatures in September and October are higher than expected, so the best time to see the leaves in Korea will fall between late October and early November.

According to the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), after a long summer heatwave, the cool autumn air will bring brilliant colors to trees across Korea, starting from the north of the country. The first stop is Seoraksan Mountain, where the trees start changing color from September 30, with the most beautiful mountain scenery on October 23.
Next are places like Jirisan Mountain (the leaves start to turn red and yellow from October 13), Hallasan Mountain on Jeju Island (the leaves start to turn red and yellow from October 14) and Bukhansan Mountain (the leaves start to turn red and yellow from October 17). The most beautiful leaves change color across Korea is expected from late October to early November.

Some of the beautiful autumn and autumn foliage attractions in Seoul that tourists cannot miss are Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul Forest, Olympic Park, Seokchonhosu Lake. The golden leaves of the ginkgo trees at Deoksugung Palace and Myeongnyundang Hall of Sungkyunkwan University also attract tourists.
Popular autumn foliage spots outside Seoul include Hwadam Botanical Garden, Nami Island, and the Garden of Morning Calm. For photography enthusiasts and those who want to explore nature further afield, check out Bbaljae Pass in Danyang, Ginkgo Forest in Hongcheon, Jangtaesan Mountain in Daejeon, Baegyangsa Temple in Jangseong, Metasequoia Trail in Damyang, and Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju.
