After a truck carrying watermelons overturned, many Nghe An residents quickly rescued the driver, collected more than 1 ton of fruit spilled on the road and bought it to support the victims.

On the morning of May 10, at the intersection of 72m Street and 3/2 Street, Vinh City ( Nghe An ), an accident occurred between a sleeper bus and a truck carrying watermelons.

The accident caused the truck to flip over, leaving the driver in critical condition and two people in the truck seriously injured. Many passengers on the sleeper bus were stunned and suffered minor injuries.

Both the truck and the passenger bus were badly damaged, more than 1 ton of watermelons on the truck spilled onto the road.

Dozens of people saw this and quickly came to the driver’s aid, collecting thousands of watermelons on the road and piling them into small piles on the side of the road. They also cleaned up the crushed watermelons and cleaned the road.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan (residing in Nghi An ward, Vinh city) recounted: "I passed by here early in the morning and heard the locals recount the accident that happened at 5am. Immediately afterwards, the locals rescued the melons and cleaned up the scene very quickly."
