Turning Quang Tri into a unique center of energy, logistics and tourism

This morning (October 5), the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien directed the Congress.

During the past term, Quang Tri province has achieved many important results in all fields. The average growth rate reached 6.75%/year, with an estimated 8% in 2025. The first Provincial Party Congress is of special significance, marking the transformation of Quang Tri after the merger.

The Congress set out 5 key tasks, 3 strategic breakthroughs, with 4 main economic pillars: Energy - Logistics - Tourism - Green Agriculture. By 2045, Quang Tri strives to become a fairly developed province, a unique energy, logistics and tourism center of the country.

Praising the achievements in the past term, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien suggested that in the coming term, the Provincial Party Committee should thoroughly grasp and concretize the direction of General Secretary To Lam and the Politburo and Secretariat delegation in the Congress documents. The province needs to fully exploit its potential and strengths; mobilize all resources of economic sectors; strive to achieve double-digit growth, contributing to the goal of rapid and sustainable development of the country.

Emphasizing that, immediately after the Congress, the Provincial Party Committee needs to concretize the Resolution with an action program that clearly defines the work, people, resources and results, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien believes that Quang Tri will successfully implement the Congress Resolution, building an increasingly prosperous, civilized and happy homeland.

The Congress announced the Politburo's decisions on personnel, accordingly, the Provincial Party Executive Committee consists of 62 comrades, the Provincial Party Standing Committee consists of 17 comrades. Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, was appointed by the Politburo to continue holding the position of Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
