Smart electricity use: Safe use, long-term savings

The 2025 training program took place on April 22 and 23 in Kien Tuong Town, Moc Hoa District and Ben Luc District, respectively. The special thing about this year's program is the expansion of participants from officials of political organizations, unions, local departments to students of secondary and high schools, attracting more than 200 students to attend.

The selection of this target group is not only representative, but also demonstrates a multi-layered communication strategy: through core forces such as the Fatherland Front, Women's Union, Veterans Association, etc. to spread the message to each household; at the same time "investing" in the younger generation to form the habit of using electricity properly from an early age - a way to "sow seeds" for the future in the long term.

The teaching content of the program is based on the “Handbook on safe and economical use of electricity”, compiled by the Southern Electricity Association. This is not only a technical guide, but also a powerful communication manual with vivid illustrations, practical situations, easy to understand, and accessible to everyone.

The program focuses on two parts: electrical safety and energy saving. In the safety section, students are instructed on how to identify the risk of electrical accidents, skills to save people from electric shock, safety rules when using electrical equipment in the home, outdoors, as well as at electrical construction sites. Regarding energy saving, the program analyzes from choosing high-efficiency electrical equipment, to changing usage habits such as turning off equipment when not needed, using renewable energy (solar power), limiting the use of high-power equipment during peak hours, etc.

Not only does the program not stop at theory, it also organizes final exams and assessments and issues certificates, ensuring that students truly grasp the knowledge, are able to apply it in real life and disseminate it to the community.

The 2025 training program is not simply an annual event. In the context of the Prime Minister's Directive No. 20/CT-TTg on enhancing electricity saving in the 2023-2025 period, this activity has strategic significance in transforming policy goals into community behavior.

Saving electricity not only helps reduce living expenses for each household but also contributes significantly to ensuring national energy security, reducing the load on the power grid, limiting greenhouse gas emissions, thereby protecting the living environment. Meanwhile, electrical safety is a vital requirement - when every year, the whole country still records hundreds of electrical accidents causing injuries, even deaths, mostly due to subjectivity or lack of basic knowledge.

The program demonstrated the synchronous coordination between related units. From the assignment of tasks by EVNSPC, to the close coordination between the Company and the Southern Electricity Association, all tasks - from logistics, engineering to communication and press - were implemented smoothly, contributing to ensuring the class was successfully organized.

The training program on safe and economical use of electricity in 2025 is not simply a class, but a reminder and practical action to build a civilized, economical, safe and environmentally responsible society. Small actions today will contribute to creating a sustainable future for the whole community./.
