The highly anticipated K-Pop concert has been canceled.
“With the company's utmost efforts, the support of the authorities, and the coordination of domestic and foreign partners, up to now, although the preparation for the program has almost been completed, with the desire to bring the audience the most wonderful and perfect music party, the Organizing Committee has realized that it cannot guarantee and meet all the requirements that the company has reported to Hanoi city as well as the plan announced to the audience as initially.
Therefore, the Organizing Committee is very sorry and must immediately issue a notice requesting to stop organizing the K-POP Festival Open Air #2 program taking place on December 23 and 24, 2023 at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi so that all audiences are aware," the Organizing Committee's announcement stated.
BOM Entertainment said it will listen, absorb and improve so that the next programs are complete and of the highest quality. The organizers hope to receive sympathy from the authorities, partners, and audiences who have accompanied, supported and helped throughout the past time.
“We hope that the audience will sympathize with this decision of the Organizing Committee. We take full responsibility for this unexpected incident and will refund all tickets purchased by the audience in accordance with the law. We will have an official announcement on how to refund tickets in the next announcement,” said the Organizing Committee.
Previously, the K-Pop Open Air #2 music festival (English name is K-Pop Festival Open Air #2) was announced to take place at My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi) on the evenings of December 23 and 24, gathering many famous artists and music groups from Korea and Vietnam such as Highlight, INFINITE, The Wind, Super Junior D&E, EXO, TRI.BE, 2PM, MAMAMOO +, Kim Jae-joong, Chi Pu, Tang Duy Tan, Toc Tien, Duc Phuc...
The program is expected to welcome 25,000 people each night and has ticket prices ranging from 900,000 VND to 15 million VND/ticket.
However, on the night of December 21 and the morning of December 22, a series of Korean and Vietnamese bands and singers scheduled to perform announced that they would not be present at the event.
