The railway applies discount programs to attract passengers on the route. Accordingly, from now until December 29, 2024, ticket prices will be reduced when buying group tickets: Buying tickets for 4 people, the total discount is equivalent to the price of one ticket. Similarly, buying tickets for 8 people, the discount is equivalent to reducing two tickets. This policy applies to seats and berths in 6-berth cabins. Passengers who buy round-trip tickets will also receive a 15% discount on return tickets; VIP passengers will receive a 20% discount on train tickets. Vietnam Railways Corporation has also planned to run Tet trains in three stages before, during and after Tet from January 15, 2025 (ie December 16, Giap Thin year) to February 16, 2025 (January 19, Tet At Ty year). The railway industry will regularly organize 7 pairs of North-South passenger trains between Hanoi station and Saigon station. In addition, there are 13 pairs of regional passenger trains running daily between Hanoi - Vinh, Da Nang; between Hue - Da Nang; between Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet. To improve service quality, stations will not sell extra seats or convertible seats on trains this year. Passengers are advised not to buy tickets through people impersonating railway staff, "brokers, black market" intermediaries to avoid buying fake tickets. To check the validity of train tickets, passengers access the website www.dsvn.vn, "check ticket" section; then enter full information and press "check ticket".
