Railways reduce train ticket prices for students participating in Math Olympiad

Vietnam Railways Corporation said it is applying a program to reduce train ticket prices for officials and students attending the 29th National Student Mathematics Olympiad in Hue .

Specifically, 30% discount on train tickets for students and officials taking exams traveling by train from all Vietnam Railway stations to Hue station and vice versa (one way and one return). Applicable until April 10, 2023.

To purchase discounted train tickets, passengers eligible for the discount must present valid identification documents, along with a list of participants in the 29th National Student Mathematics Olympiad, confirmed by universities, colleges and academies whose students are participating.

In case there are many other discount programs for train tickets, passengers will only enjoy the highest discount. Passengers return or exchange tickets according to current regulations of Vietnam Railways.

Previously, the railway also announced the implementation of many train ticket discount programs in April 2023.

Accordingly, the price of Thong Nhat SE4 passenger train tickets will be adjusted down, the selling price is only 95% of the current ticket price for passengers buying tickets with departure stations in Da Nang, Hue, Dong Ha, Dong Hoi and arrival stations in Nam Dinh, Phu Ly, Hanoi ; Travel time from March 25 to April 26, 2023.

From April 1 to April 26, 2023, a program of 5,000 tickets with a 20% discount will be implemented for the number of seats/beds specified on the train car and specific train brand. Ticket purchase time: From 8:00 a.m. on March 28 to the end of April 23, 2023, applicable to passengers who purchase tickets 3 days or more before the train departs.
