Duy Manh, Quang Hai, Hoang Duc will face Man United

(NLDO) - In the friendly match with Man United Club in Malaysia, the ASEAN All-Star team will have the participation of 3 Vietnamese players: Quang Hai, Duy Manh, Hoang Duc.

According to the announcement of VFF, three Vietnamese national players including Nguyen Hoang Duc (Phu Dong Ninh Binh), Nguyen Quang Hai (Cong An Ha Noi ) and Do Duy Manh (Hanoi Club) have been selected by the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) to join the ASEAN All-Stars squad to play a friendly match with Man United on May 28 at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Malaysia.

AFF said the three Vietnamese players were selected thanks to their consistent performance and outstanding fighting spirit in the national team. Hoang Duc impressed in midfield with his coordination and creativity. Quang Hai remained the attacking spirit thanks to his vast experience and Duy Manh was a reliable stopper in defense with his strong and calm playing style.

Three Vietnamese players in ASEAN All-Stars squad to play Man United

In addition, Vietnam's head coach - Mr. Kim Sang-sik - will lead the ASEAN All-Stars in this match.

After leading Vietnam to win the 2024 ASEAN Cup with an all-win record, AFF believes Mr. Kim will be able to take on this responsibility. This is also a recognition of his great contributions to regional football.

The full list of ASEAN All-Stars, comprising the best players from the 12 AFF member associations, will be announced in the coming time.

The match is part of the Maybank Challenge Cup, which aims to raise funds for the Al-Sultan Abdullah (YASA) charity, while also celebrating the talent and unity of Southeast Asian football.
