This year's Da Lat Flower Festival will have many new features.

On September 19, Mr. Tran Hong Thai, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, signed to announce the plan to organize the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024. This year's Da Lat Flower Festival has the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors" and is expected to be held in December 2024.

The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 will take place in December.

The festival is organized with 10 main programs such as: opening ceremony; art program welcoming the new year 2025 combined with closing ceremony of the Festival; flower space around Xuan Huong Lake and streets, central park; Bao Loc art program tea scent, silk color; wine, tea, coffee, Da Lat specialties street; Da Lat - Chuncheon (Korea) cultural and artistic exchange.

In particular, this year's Flower Festival has a Flower and Heritage street carnival program including a flower float parade, flower fashion , and street art on December 29, 2024.

12 programs in response to this year's Flower Festival include the Langbiang pink grass festival (Lac Duong district, Lam Dong); the 2024 Korean - Da Lat music festival; the basalt melody band festival; the 2024 Lam Dong Trail race; the 5AM Concert in Dalat music program...

Provincial leaders assessed this as a provincial-level cultural and tourism event, aiming at national and international scale. The festival aims to honor the values of flowers and the flower growing profession of Da Lat, creating opportunities for flower producers and traders and local agricultural products to exchange and integrate internationally. Promoting the cultural style of Da Lat people "gentle, elegant, hospitable".

Mr. Dang Quang Tu, Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee, said that on September 19, the city launched a peak emulation campaign to achieve achievements to celebrate the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 and the 50th anniversary of Da Lat Liberation Day.

The city will increase investment and upgrade infrastructure; plant more flowers and trees in residential areas, households and public areas; maintain environmental sanitation, and ensure security and order for activities and programs of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival.

"The city will strive to successfully organize the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024, worthy of the "Asian Flower Festival and Ecotourism" award presented by the Asian International Festival and Event Association. Continue to affirm the brand of Da Lat as the "Flower Festival City" of Vietnam, "Creative City" in the field of Music by UNESCO" - Mr. Tu said.

In the first 8 months of 2024, Lam Dong welcomed 6.8 million visitors, an increase of 18.5% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors were about 396,000, an increase of 66.7% over the same period last year.
