Vietnam women's futsal team set out to "hunt" for World Cup tickets from continental playground

(NLDO) - The Vietnamese women's futsal team has set off to prepare for the 2025 Asian Futsal Championship, which will take place from May 6 in China.

On the morning of May 1, the Vietnamese women's futsal team officially departed for Inner Mongolia, China to participate in the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Finals.

The team's flight departed from Tan Son Nhat airport and transited in Guangzhou, scheduled to land in Inner Mongolia at 10:55 p.m. tonight.

The coaching staff said that the players are currently in good health and the whole team is ready to enter the tournament. Before leaving, the official list of the team was finalized, with two players having to say goodbye: Dinh Nguyen Ngoc Linh (Thai Son Nam Club, Ho Chi Minh City) and Nguyen Thi Tu Anh ( Hanoi Sports Training & Competition Center).

Sharing about the team's goals, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: "We always aim to win a spot at the World Cup, but for now, the whole team will focus on getting through the group stage so that we can make appropriate calculations for the next goals."

Before the official tournament, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will have an important friendly match with the Chinese women's futsal team on May 3. This match is to review the team's strength and perfect tactics before the official tournament begins.

The 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship will take place from May 6 to 17. The Vietnamese team will face Hong Kong (China), Iran and the Philippines in Group B. This will be an opportunity for the Vietnamese women's futsal team to win a ticket to the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup in the Philippines.
