An incident that happened on the day of the exam almost caused this candidate to have a mental breakdown. Specifically, in the exam room (Room 04.02 18.14), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Hutech), after the bell rang, the invigilators still did not inform that the candidate was allowed to read the questions and was not allowed to do the test.

Then, at around 8:43 (13 minutes late), a student put down his pen and was reminded by the supervisor. When the student asked about the test time, the supervisor still insisted that it was the time to read the questions, so this candidate and many others still believed in that information.

However, after a long time without being allowed to do the test, at about 8:52 (22 minutes late), the candidate reminded the supervisor, "Teacher, we don't have to look at the test in the first round." However, the supervisor still replied that they had to wait for the bell to ring before they could do the test.

It was not until 9 o'clock (30 minutes late), when there was a final reminder from the candidates, that the teachers whispered that the actual test time was from 8:30.

"What makes me upset is why the invigilator did not take any action the first time the candidate reminded him? Second, why is the invigilator in a major exam not aware of the time and exam regulations? The above incident has seriously affected the spirit and test results of me and many other students in the exam room because it took too much precious time. I hope there will be a satisfactory explanation for this incident" - this candidate wrote.

Speaking to a reporter from the Lao Dong Newspaper , MSc. Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of the Media Center - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), said that immediately after receiving the information, the school promptly conducted a review and initially recorded that during the exam session on the morning of June 1, in room P42, the invigilator opened and distributed the exam papers but allowed the candidates to take the exam later than the prescribed time. The above incident led to a shortened exam time for the candidates in room P42. This was a shortcoming that arose during the exam coordination process, causing certain impacts on the rights of the candidates involved.

The school has reported in detail to Ho Chi Minh City National University and asked for guidance on how to resolve the issue to ensure the best interests of the candidates. At the same time, the offending exam supervisors will make a report and the Disciplinary Council will consider and discipline them according to regulations.

On the side of Ho Chi Minh City National University, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment, said that information will be provided after verification results are available.

Previously, in the first round of the exam, also at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology exam site, there were cases of candidates being late to take the exam. Specifically, in room P.069, N. was the candidate who received the exam papers near the end. After 15 minutes of distributing the exam papers, the invigilator had not finished handing them out. About 5 minutes after the bell rang to announce the start of the exam, N. received the papers.

Also in the first round, candidates taking the exam at An Giang University were also 20 minutes late due to the tardiness of the exam invigilators.
