Vietnam Futsal prepares for Asian tournament, SEA Games 33 from National Cup

8 teams compete in the 2025 National Futsal Cup

This is the 9th consecutive year that the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) has coordinated with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to organize the highest tournaments of indoor football. Following the success of the 2025 national championship season, the 2025 HDBank National Futsal Cup will be held centrally at Lanh Binh Thang Stadium (Binh Thoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The tournament will take place from August 3 to August 12 with the participation of 8 teams across the country including: Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Son Bac, Sahako, Hanoi, Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Titans Ho Chi Minh City, Luxury Ha Long and Tre Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, 8 teams are divided into 2 groups (4 teams each), playing a round robin to calculate points. The first and second teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals and compete for the championship. In the semi-finals, the first team in group A will meet the second team in group B, the first team in group B will meet the second team in group A. Meanwhile, the two third-placed teams in each group will compete for 5th place, and the last 2 teams in each group will compete for 7th place.

This year, the HDBank National Futsal Cup takes place just over a month after the 2025 HDBank National Futsal Championship ends. The tournament is held early to create conditions for the Vietnamese futsal team to gather and compete in the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers, which will take place from September 20 to September 24. The Vietnamese futsal team will gather after the 2025 HDBank National Futsal Championship ends. Therefore, the 2025 HDBank National Futsal Championship is also considered a warm-up step for the Vietnamese players, before focusing on preparing for the Asian qualifiers.
