Nearly 30 billion VND in scholarships to welcome new students of Dong A University

In the 2024-2025 school year, Dong A University will welcome 3,000 new students, of which more than 1,504 have scored more than 20 points in the National High School Entrance Exam, accounting for 51%. In recent times, the school has achieved many outstanding achievements, especially in linking and cooperating with domestic and foreign enterprises, helping students easily access the job market after graduation.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung received the Letter of Support and Sharing from Dong A University for the Northern people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 (Yagi) with a total amount of money raised and donated of 500 million VND.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi praised and acknowledged the efforts and highly appreciated the long-term vision of Dong A University in developing evenly in scale and quality of training at both the campus in Da Nang city and the Branch in Dak Lak province.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee said that the school's recent opening of a new training program for Medical Doctors and a bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Engineering is not only a new development in training in the health sciences sector but also aims to provide high-quality and specialized medical human resources to serve the health care work of the people in the city as well as localities in the region and the whole country.

Along with that, the school has made in-depth investments for students in start-up playgrounds, scientific research, international exchange programs, academic and language competitions, etc. The dynamism of Dong A University is also recognized in the university education sector with a diverse international cooperation model and a vibrant training and employment ecosystem for students.

"The school has boldly taken the lead in the trend of new human resources by cooperating in training in key industries such as artificial intelligence, microchips, and semiconductors - fields that play an important role in the 4.0 industrial revolution and are strategic directions in the development process of Da Nang city in the coming time," said Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.

At the Opening Ceremony, the school's Cherry Blossom Scholarship Fund honored and awarded 240 talented scholarships to new students with high entrance results in the 2024 admissions. Of these, 15 are full scholarships of 100% of the full course tuition and 25 are partial scholarships of 50% of the full course tuition.

At the same time, thousands of scholarships worth 5-7 million VND/scholarship were recognized and awarded to support students on the first day of school. The total value of the 2024 talent and study encouragement scholarships awarded on this occasion is up to 29.2 billion VND.

In addition, 4 excellent new students majoring in Japanese Language received valuable scholarships from the Vietnam - Japan Bridge Scholarship Fund; 21 students with excellent results in the 2023-2024 school year were also recognized and rewarded.
