Nearly 300 disadvantaged Dong Nai children attend summer camp

(DN) - On June 6, at Son Tien Eco-tourism Area (An Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City), the Department of Health and the Provincial Youth Union coordinated to organize a summer camp for children in difficult circumstances with the theme of a fun, healthy, and safe summer.

Speaking at the opening of the summer camp, Mr. Huynh Nam Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, said that the summer camp is held annually in the summer to provide children in special circumstances, poor children, ethnic children, and children in remote areas with opportunities to interact, participate in activities, play, and have fun in a healthy and safe way.

At the same time, this activity also demonstrates the responsibility and concern of all levels and sectors for children during the Month of Action for Children, thereby raising awareness and responsibility of the whole society for the work of protecting, caring for andeducating children.

Attending the summer camp, nearly 300 children aged 10-16 (who had never participated in a summer camp in the past 4 years organized by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) from districts, the Provincial Social Work Center and 8 social protection facilities in the province visited and played water games at Son Tien Eco-tourism Area.
