Previously, on June 4, the authorities inspected the business owned by Mr. CVL and discovered 800kg of fresh whole chickens and 400kg of salted finished chickens without any invoices or documents proving their origin. The total value of 1.2 tons of goods according to the listed price at the facility was more than 57 million VND.
Working with the authorities, the owner of the facility said that the purchased whole fresh chickens will be marinated with salt, sugar, fresh turmeric, green pepper, and ginger to create the finished salt-cured chicken product.
The business owner has presented the business registration certificate, certificate of food safety qualified facility, value added invoice of goods, quarantine certificate...
However, due to the implementation of lump-sum tax, Mr. CVL's business household did not keep a book to track goods purchased and sold. The owner of the establishment also admitted to the violation.
The interdisciplinary inspection team took samples of 4 whole chickens and 5 finished chicken samples for testing to determine further handling. The team made a record of temporary detention and sealing of 1.2 tons of fresh whole chickens and finished chickens of unknown origin.
