Dong Da Club ranked first in the Hanoi Open Taekwondo Festival

After 2 days of competition of more than 1,000 athletes from 49 units, the Organizing Committee has determined the specific rankings of the entire delegation as follows:

Dong Da Taekwondo Club with a strong force of 120 athletes, competing in most events of different age groups, excellently won the first place overall with 10 gold medals, 15 silver medals, 22 bronze medals. The second place overall was the Vietnam Kids Club, with 10 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 11 bronze medals. The third place overall was the Phoenix Club with 7 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 9 bronze medals. The fourth place overall was the Phuc Tho District Club with 7 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 3 bronze medals.

Assessing the professional quality and organization of this Festival, Mr. Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Taekwondo Department, commented: The scale of this year's expanded Hanoi Taekwondo Festival is the same as last year with the participation of more than 1,000 athletes, but the professional quality has been pushed up very high, clearly shown in the close competition in the whole delegation tournament: The two clubs First and Second have the same number of gold medals, the ranking must be determined by the number of silver medals.

In particular, among the provinces and cities in the Northern region sending forces to participate in the tournament, clubs in Son La, Hoa Binh , Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, and Nam Dinh all have many new factors, showing that the foundation of the Taekwondo movement has been and is developing strongly in these localities.

Of the 40 referees participating in the tournament, more than 1/3 are national referees. The entire organization of the Hanoi Taekwondo Festival is modeled after the Taekwondo Festival of Korea - the homeland of this martial art, with a professional organization style, aiming to create an attractive, useful and meaningful playground, contributing to the foundation of the Taekwondo movement in Hanoi and the Northern region to become stronger and stronger.

Chairman Nguyen Manh Hung expressed his hope that with the spread of thousands of athletes and many parents to this attractive playground, the next Festivals will mobilize increasingly larger socialized capital, through which the Organizing Committee can support clubs and athletes more.

After the first Hanoi Taekwondo Festival - Thang Long Cup in 2025, the Hanoi Taekwondo Federation will organize the Hanoi Open Taekwondo Championship for all ages, scheduled for October, creating another high-performance competition playground for athletes.
