Meeting with cadets, military officers and students from Laos and Cambodia

(LĐ online) - As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), on the afternoon of November 15, at the Provincial Military Command, a meeting took place with students and officers of the Lao People's Army, officers of the Royal Cambodian Army and students of the Lao People's Democratic Republic studying in Lam Dong province.

Comrade Pham Thi Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council attended the meeting.

The meeting was jointly organized by the Provincial Military Command, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association and the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Lam Dong province.

Colonel Nguyen Binh Son - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command delivered a welcoming speech.

Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Binh Son affirmed: The solidarity and friendship between Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia originated from the struggle against colonialism and for national independence, and was nurtured and developed through periods of revolutionary struggle. It is the loyal solidarity and wholehearted help that the three nations give to each other to successfully carry out the revolutionary mission. Solidarity has created a source of strength both spiritually and materially, and is the red thread running through the development process of the Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia relationship.

The Commander of the Provincial Military Command emphasized: Today, the Government and people of the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia are constantly cultivating and passing on to the next generations the solidarity, loyal relationship, and comprehensive cooperation between the three countries, considering this the law of existence and development, and one of the factors ensuring the victory of the cause of building and defending the homeland of each country for today and tomorrow.

At the meeting, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Lam Dong province also held a sponsorship ceremony for 5 Lao students studying at Da Lat University for the 2023 - 2028 school year.
