Urgently complete the items of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project

The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project, the section passing through Lao Cai province, is approximately 49.47 km long. Most of the locations passing through are located on high hills and mountains, making the construction area difficult, while the construction time is very urgent. However, with the determination to bring the project to the finish line on schedule, Power Project Management Board 1 has closely coordinated with localities and contractors to open public roads, focusing on construction efforts to quickly complete the items of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project, the section passing through Lao Cai province.

According to the investor's assessment, the construction progress has been and is following the schedule. To ensure the objectives of the entire project, the Power Project Management Board 1 requests contractors to focus resources and flexibly apply construction measures to speed up the progress in favorable weather.

According to reports from construction units up to now, package No. 1, passing through Bao Thang district and some communes of Bao Yen district, has completed the erection of 6/51 column positions, and completed the concrete foundation of 30 positions. Package No. 2, passing through Bao Yen district, is in the process of erecting 6/47 positions, and has completed the concrete foundation of 20 positions. Contractors committed to the investor to complete the construction of all column foundations before June 15, complete the erection of all columns on the route before August 5, and complete the work of spreading and stretching the wire before August 20.

The Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project is a national key project that has been approved by the Prime Minister for investment, with Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) as the investor and Power Project Management Board 1 as the investor representative. This is a 500kV double-circuit transmission line project with a total length of 229.5 km, with a total of 468 pole foundation locations.

The project passes through four provinces including Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc, with the starting point being the Lao Cai 500kV station and the ending point being the Vinh Yen 500kV station. The project has a total investment of more than VND7,410 billion.
