Silver prices remained near multi-year highs, near the $37.00 an ounce level set last week, although safe-haven demand for the precious metal eased as concerns about Middle East tensions eased.
Several countries have offered to mediate and US President Donald Trump is trying to push the parties to reach a peace deal, said analyst Guillermo Alcala.
" This has helped to ease market jitters, weakening demand for the precious metal a bit. However, silver speculators are still targeting the resistance zone of $37.00 an ounce ," he said.
Technically, Guillermo Alcala said the silver price picture remains positive.
" The nearest support level is $36.00/ounce (low June 11 and 13), followed by $35.50/ounce (low June 12). If the price falls further, the uptrend will be questioned and the bottom of $34.20/ounce (June 4) could be retested."
