Coffee price today 6/3/2025: Keep prices low

Domestic coffee prices remain stable, reflecting some of the pressure from abundant supply in the market. Coffee prices fluctuated strongly in the first half of the year due to the combined effects of increased production and global economic fluctuations.

Businesses say that Vietnamese coffee prices are currently higher than those of competing exporting countries, causing trading activities to slow down. In addition, transportation costs are also increasing, especially when the market is concerned that the end of the US tariff suspension is approaching, affecting trade and export costs.

In the current context, growers need to closely monitor price fluctuations to choose the right time to sell, and carefully calculate transportation costs in the context of fuel prices not decreasing. In the short term, if there are no major changes in supply, coffee prices may continue to be under downward pressure.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market fluctuate on two exchanges:

Robusta Coffee (London):

Delivery in July 2025: Down 34 USD/ton, to 4,476 USD/ton.

Delivery September 2025: Down 54 USD/ton, to 4,409 USD/ton.

Arabica Coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Up 0.9 cents/lb, to 343.35 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Up 0.75 cents/lb, to 340.55 cents/lb.

Last week, the international coffee market recorded a sharp decline. Robusta prices fell by $280/ton, while Arabica also lost nearly 18.8 cents/pound. This was the lowest price for Arabica in the past 7 weeks and the lowest price for Robusta in the past 6.5 months.

The main reason for the decline is high inventories and abundant supplies. As of last Friday, Robusta inventories reached an eight-month high of 5,438 lots. At the same time, Arabica inventories also rose to nearly 892,000 bags, the highest in weeks.

According to experts, a number of factors will continue to affect coffee prices in the coming time, including: the harvest situation in Brazil, the results of the US Federal Reserve's June 2025 monetary policy meeting, inventory developments on the floor, the trend of the USD and global shipping rates.
