World gold price today June 4, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 p.m. on June 4, Vietnam time, was 3,362.73 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 7.2 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,254 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 110.4 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 6.8 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold prices remained stable on the afternoon of June 5, as better-than-expected US employment data somewhat eased concerns about the negative impact of trade tensions. However, investors remained cautious due to the prolonged uncertainties in US-China trade relations and general concerns about global economic growth.

Specifically, spot gold prices were stable at around $3,362.73/ounce, while gold futures in the US did not fluctuate much, standing at $3,375/ounce.

Kelvin Wong, Asia-Pacific analyst at OANDA, said that uncertainty surrounding trade relations between the US and China, as well as between the US and Europe, continues to worry investors. However, he said some investors may return to buying gold as prices rise slightly.

Meanwhile, expert Tim Waterer from KCM Trade said that the US employment data released through the JOLTS report has somewhat eased concerns about economic damage caused by tariff policies, thereby preventing a sharp increase in demand for gold.

The White House also signaled that President Donald Trump may speak directly with Chinese President Xi Jinping this week to resolve the trade dispute, while Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on the US to create conditions for bilateral relations to get back on “the right track.”

On the US economic front, new data showed that the number of open jobs in the US increased in April, but the number of people laid off also reached a nine-month high, reflecting signs of a slowing labour market.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has also warned that the global economy may grow more slowly than expected, as the US administration's trade policies put heavy pressure on the domestic and foreign economies. According to Mr. Wong, the OECD's warnings will continue to support the demand for safe haven gold in the medium term.

The US Federal Reserve (Fed) also maintains a cautious stance when assessing risks related to trade and global economic uncertainty. In such a context, gold prices tend to increase due to investors' concerns and desire to preserve their assets.

In other precious metals, silver edged down 0.3% to $34.40 an ounce. Platinum rose 0.3% to $1,076.86 an ounce, while palladium fell 0.9% to $1,001.42 an ounce.
